Paramount Theatre, Chilliwack BC

It was a surprise, but inevitable that the end came to this iconic institution. Technology has laid waste to “old time” movie theatres throughout North America. Very sad to see that happen in Chilliwack. I fondly remember many hours spent in the dark visiting other times, places and worlds. After 61 years the marquee and building have become a landmark in downtown Chilliwack A few days after the doors closed, I had an opportunity to spend a few hours in this darkened movie house with my camera.
