I bought tickets on Fandango.com for the new Harry Potter movie for 12:01 in the morning. My little sister told me she wanted to bring a friend, so I got back on to buy a ticket for her and it turns out they’re sold out for 12:01 but still have tickets for the 12:05 showing. It’s just in a different theater but I don’t want her friend to be by herself.
Would I be able to swap my little sister’s 12:01 ticket for a 12:05 ticket on fandango or through Cinemark? Or am I not able to do this at all?
Am I able to swap movie tickets bought online for a different time?

Here’s what the Fandango.com website says on the matter…
If you cannot attend a show time for which you have purchased tickets, please contact the appropriate theater to inquire about their policy on refunds and/or exchanges. Any allowance is at the discretion of theatre management and can only be conducted at the theater box office once the tickets purchased through Fandango are retrieved. We suggest that you make contact with the theater’s management prior to your show time, as theater management may not issue refunds or provide exchanges after show time. Fandango convenience charges will not be refunded.
