Denzel Washington??? WFT???? Have you see all the nominees performances??
Even if you keep out someone (I agree with “HoicnelixRex” about JamieFoxx opinion) you couldn´t put Denzel, even Tom Cruise (collateral) was better!!!!!!!
I´m sorry man but Man on fire didn´t deserved anything, not even a nomination…

The end makes people cry???Really??? Oh my god!!!
This just can mean two things:
I´m very insesitive or you are very sesinsitive, I think I am because I´ve never cry seeing a movie, but anyways, Man on Fire is an insect compared with all the movies I have said before.

I respect your opinion but I can mention like 12 movies of 2004 better than “Man on Fire”, I honestly think that the only NOMINATION it deserved was Best Supporting Actress for Dakota Fanning, I personally don´t see anything special in that movie, but is just my opinion ;)

Denzel Washington can´t not even been nominated, because from the 5 nominees (Cheadle, Eastwood, DiCaprio, Depp and Foxx) the only one you can keep out is Foxx and there should´ve been Jim Carrey, Paul Giamatti or Bruno Ganz, you can´t compare Denzel´s performance with all these ones.

Best Picture?? Even if there were 10 nominees “Man on Fire” couldn´t be (see Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Million Dollar Baby, Sideways, Downfall,Collateral, The Aviator, Ray, Finding Neverland, Closer and Sea Inside). Now Dakota Fanning (that is support, not leading) MAYBE,MAYBE could be nominated but there´s no way she could beat Virginia Madsen, Cate Blanchett and Sophie Okonedo.

Man on Fire over Sideways, Million Dollar Baby, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Aviator, Ray, Hotel Rwanda, Der Untergang, Finding Neverland ???? Come on man, even Closer and Vera Drake are better.
If an action movie should´ve been nominated for Best Picture that should´ve been Collateral, in Man on Fire there´s not drama, no emotional conflicts, is just a film dedicated to idolized Denzel Washington :(

Sideways screenplay in awesome. The best with no doubts. I must say that night they gave oscars as gifts. Did morgan freeman really deserved the oscar for that role?? The same for Hilary Swank?? i dont think so, should have been Clive Owen and Imelda Stauton or Kate Winslet… And i dont think Million Dollar Baby deserved best picture.
