    Lost In Translation or Mystic River should have won. I thought that The Return Of The King was good, but far from perfect, and, ironically, the worst of the three films.

    “The Return of the King” is MASTERPIECE, one the GREASTEST movies ever!!!!
    A monument to the glory of Seventh Art!!!! And the most deserved Best Picture award in Academy history!!!

    Can someone explain me why Sean Penn was considered actor in a leading role? I mean, it seems to me that Mystic River protagonist is Kevin Bacon’s character, and Penn and Robbins ones are both supporting…

    Actually I’m surprised Sean Austin never recieved a nomination because I thought he was excellent as frodo’s loyal and true friend to the end (rythme not intended and I think I spelt that wrong)
