If you order movie tickets online, do they check for id at the theater if you buy rated R movie tickets?

If you live in Windy Hills or in Roswell, Georgia feel free to name theaters that dont check for Id.

I think you can buy the tickets online and when you get to the theatre the person who collects the ticket will just look at you and if you look old enough you can go in without showing ID but if they see the need to ask you for your ID they will.

Depends on the person at the theater. There suppose too but usually don’t. I would take the chance. Worse case senario is you would get your money back.

No, do you really think that some kid collecting tickets really cares who see’s what, not for $7 an hour . They look to see that the date and time are right but as far as whether or not it’s r and your 18 is another thing. Now if you were buying them there then i would say yes. Unless your like 12 then you won’t have a problem.

I work at a movie theatre and it is our policy to check the ID of all guests who purchase rated R tickets, whether it’s online or not. Depending on the film, there can even be multiple checks (the box office, the ticket stand and then by the door of the individual theatre). So, to save yourself the hassle of having to get your money back and then find something else to watch that you didn’t really want to see, I would either (a) find someone who is 21+ to accompany you to the film and purchase your tickets or (b) find something else to do. Sorry to burst your bubble, it sucks just as much for us when we can’t let you in. =(
