I doubt it. It would require too much special effects, so it wont look real, and the point of making it a live action movie will go to waste. I saw the teaser they put up, it honestly doesn’t look that great so far, but who knows. Maybe it might be good, and they just didn’t want to ruin it. But I have a feeling that a lot of people are going to be dissappointed. Just my opinion though, i’m still going to watch the movie when it comes out, I love the Avatar series, but hopefully m.night shyamalon tries his best, and doesn’t Americanise it too much, haha. Even though it’s made in America, it set in a Chinese context, haha.

They have a massive budget first off. So since they decided to make a live action, they are doing it the right way. The effects will be amazing and the story if they follow it will make for a badass movie. The questions we need answered is are the characters going to live up to their cartoon counterpart, and will the fighting be good enough? I believe the effects and action will be out of this world kickass, but i have problems with the castings, mainly katarra, but i think it will be good non the less

It is based on Hindu philosophy.
“Avatar” is a Sanskrit language word used in Hindu scriptures , Which means incarnation.
The prophecy has been already done many centuries ago that the Lord Vishnu (One of the three trinity in Hinduism) will descend as the 10th and last incarnation as Kalki avatar in India , You can search it on google to see the proof.Painters usually paint the lords as blue color to give them divine look and in james cameroon movie avatar too the main character is of Blue color.Avatar philosophy is the one of the most centralized philosophy of Hinduism.
@J that 250 million dollar budget is for all three films.
And no, it won’t hold up the standards, nothing ever does. Harry Potter’s are great but do they compare to the books? No. We can only hope they will be near enough to the story to even be mentioned in the same breath as the cartoon.
