Comments on: What was one thing you wish you’d been given as a kid?

I’ll tell you, that as a kid I didn’t want them (at least when I was little). I wish now that I had a better foundation. I don’t need to be an expert, but learning young the concepts behind playing the piano would help a grownup in all sorts of ways. And it would help whatever instrument you decide to play.

As far as “things” go, I always wanted a 4-wheeler (they were mostly 3 wheelers back then) but I didn’t really think we could afford it so I never asked.

I will definately give my kids music lessons. If I move to the country I will likely get a 4 wheeler, but that’s a big if.

the only thing i can ever remember wanting and not getting was the cabbage patch kid clubhouse. I dont think i would fit on one now, seeing that I am 30 years old. And i dont think i would get one for my kids.

To echo other posters:

I wish my father was more of a daddy.

He was always present, but he was the old-school, father-brings-in-the-money- woman-does-the-child-rearing type. Now that I see the relationship my girls have with their daddy, I’m jealous and wish I had that.

A dad. Mine was killed in an accident 3 months before I was born and my mom never remarried.
I can’t give one to myself but my children have a dad that loves them very much and is always there for them

i always wanted a light-bright as a kid. All my friends had one so most of the time i just played with there’s. Im a teenager now and i told my mom i always wanted a light-brightt and she told me she also always wanted one as a kid and she doesn’t know why she never bought us one.

Thanks to civilization’s lie that success equals money convincing her that I’d be better off with an older wealthier couple, my mother gave me up for adoption as an infant and all I ever wanted as a child and continue to want as a 35 year old man is for my mother to come back and get me so I can be whole again. I have never known happiness except in fleeting dreams and I don’t expect I ever will because of what I have lost.

I wanted a big giant doll house with lots and lots of barbies. Im 21 now so no i don’t still want that lol. My children get to pick their toys out when they get new ones, whatever they want. But they have to be good and earn it.
EDIT: And I always wanted a stable home enviroment but my parents moved me all the time and had to change schools everytime. I was in at least 8 different schools just in elementary school. My kid’s won’t have to worry about that.
