Time to lawyer up.
Maybe they are afraid you’ll get into court with a statutory rape case against her.
Maybe (and probably rightly so), they are concerned that you aren’t mature enough to support her.
Maybe they just want to see if you’ll still be around in 6 months.
What does YOUR family have to say about this situation??

Yes, fathers of all ages have rights to see their children. Enforcing those rights is the tough part, and you might need the court to intercede on your behalf. Also, be prepared to begin paying child support – don’t expect your parents to cough it up. You played, you need to pay.
*This is assuming, of course, that you actually are the biological father of the infant.
Why is your avatar female?

I’m unsure WTF is going on since your avatar indicates that you’re a girl.
IF this happens to be a true scenario, then you need to hire an attorney or, at the very least, go to the free legal help clinic where you live. Of COURSE you have parental rights. Document EVERY attempt you make to contact the child’s mother. Also, make an attempt to give the mother some child support, no matter how little it is, and make sure you write a check so that you can prove that you’ve helped. If she won’t accept it, start a savings account for the baby with the money so that you can show a judge that you have tried to be financially supportive, even though the mother won’t cooperate. If this goes to court you need to show that you’ve tried to see your daughter.
Side thought… Are you listed as the father on the birth certificate? If not, call the DA and start trying to establish paternity ASAP. Explain the problem. They might be more than willing to assist.

Yep. These Jr. High School teachers are getting hotter by the minute. Yes. You are legally the biological father of the child, and your girlfriend is considered jailbound, because she illegally had sex with a minor as an adult. It is considered statutory rape, and child molestation.
Used to be the other way around.
She gives you any grief about seeing your baby, you threaten to call the police. I can assure you, she will change her tune really fast.
Prison is a lousy place to be. And don’t be afraid to do it either, because when she’s in prison, you will retain full-custody of the child as the childs’ sole parent.
It is the law. Use it.
And if you are the girl…..Start worrying ALOT!!!

Yes.
You are the father of the child. That means that by law, they must allow you visitation with your child.
I would call a lawyer, or your county dept of health and family services. Either will be able to inform you of your exact rights.
Thumbs ^ Up

Yes you do have rights, that is your child and you should be able to see her. If you can’t afford an attorney, go to legal aid. They are lawyers who work for people who can’t afford a lawyer out of pocket. Find out too if your state has any lawyer referral services available. They will match you up with a lawyer for a small fee. You will go and talk with this lawyer to see how this can be handled. I used these services in the past and have been very happy with the results.
You have to go and seek legal help with this. It’s not fair to you that you can’t see your own child for 6 months. What is wrong with her parents? Your g/f is legal age, seems to me she should have the say in this and NOT her parents.
I wish you much luck on getting to see your daughter. God bless….

Now for a CORRECT answer. (and yes, I am an attorney).
At the present time you have NO RIGHTS to the child. And it’s not because of your age but because of your status.
Since you said ‘girlfriend’ I can correctly assume the two of you are not married. Therefore, under law, the child has no father.
What you DO have however, is what in law is called ‘assertive rights’. That simply means that you can assert your right to be a father.
You will need to file a petition to determine paternity and a joining petition for custody/visitation. The court will order a paternity test and if it is determined you are indeed the father, award custody/visitation/support as per the laws of your state.
